“Rock Talks” is where Rock Pifer shares thoughts, stories, observations, and lessons from the journey of writing, publishing, ministry, and everyday life.

Some conversations begin with a book. Others begin with something learned along the way. Some may offer a practical idea or a different perspective on a familiar subject. The goal is simple: to share something useful, encouraging, or worth thinking about.

A Little About Me

I'm Rock Pifer, and I've spent most of my adult life doing two things I never expected to put together quite the way I have: ministry and writing.

For more than 35 years, my wife Sherri and I have been involved in Christian ministry. I spent more than 20 years as a pastor, and today we continue to serve as evangelists.

Along the way, I discovered that I really enjoy writing, creating books, and finding ways to put useful resources into people's hands. That eventually grew into Abiding Line Publishing, where I now write and publish Christian books and Bible studies, memorial and Celebration of Life guest books, large-print word search puzzles, and a growing collection of other books and resources.

Some of the things I write about are connected directly to those projects. Others have little to do with publishing at all.

That's really what Rock Talks is about.

I'll share some of the stories behind the books, things I've learned along the way, thoughts about faith and ministry, the occasional lesson from life, and probably a few things that don't fit neatly into any category.

I don't have a particular formula for what will show up here. If something is worth talking about, I'll talk about it.
